Are dried meats, cheeses, and fish salted before Pesach permitted on Pesach even if no precautions were taken against chametz during salting?

Synopsis

The Mechaber permits dried meats, cheeses, and fish salted before Pesach even without chametz precautions. The Rema records the Ashkenazi custom to be initially strict about cheeses, fish, and dried meat, but permits meat that was washed thoroughly three times before Pesach.
