After the blessing 'Shomer amo Yisrael la'ad,' does one answer Amen after one's own blessing?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that one answers Amen after 'Shomer amo Yisrael la'ad' (the conclusion of Hashkivenu) because that is one's own blessing. The Rema notes that the Ashkenazi custom (as stated above in Siman 215) is not to answer Amen after one's own blessings at all, except for Birkat HaMazon. The Aruch HaShulchan confirms the Ashkenazi practice.
