If non-Jews placed a person outside the techum in an enclosed space (pen, prison, cave, or walled city), what are his movement limits — and does it matter whether he originally left the techum willingly or under duress?
Synopsis
When a person is placed by non-Jews outside the techum into an enclosed space (docked vessel, prison, cave, or walled city), his movement depends on whether he originally left the techum voluntarily or involuntarily. For involuntary exit, he may walk the entire enclosure. For voluntary exit, he is restricted to four amot even inside the enclosure.
