If one wears the shel yad according to Rabbeinu Tam but the shel rosh according to Rashi/Rambam (mismatched pairs), does he fulfill his obligation?
Synopsis
The Shevut Yaakov rules that wearing a mismatched set (shel yad of RT + shel rosh of Rashi, or vice versa) does not fulfill the obligation according to either opinion. However, in an extenuating circumstance it is permitted to wear them, but without a blessing.
