If latecomers arrive after the congregation has begun Yotzer Or, may the chazzan repeat Barchu for them?
Synopsis
The Taz (citing the Manhig) rules that once the chazzan has begun Yotzer Or, he may not repeat Barchu for latecomers — doing so would be like the condemned practice of 'Modim Modim' (repeating a word twice). The Mishnah Berurah and Magen Avraham confirm: if the chazzan has not yet begun, he may repeat Barchu.
