How should the middle matzah be broken and what is done with the pieces?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules one breaks the middle matzah in two: the larger half is hidden for the afikoman under a cloth, and the smaller half is placed between the two whole matzot. The Maharil and MA rule the larger piece goes to the afikoman.
