From what point must wheat be guarded (shimur) for mitzvah matzah — from harvest, from grinding, or from kneading?
Synopsis
Significant dispute exists on whether guarding must begin from harvest (ketzira), grinding (techina), or kneading (lisha). The Mechaber says ideally from harvest, at minimum from grinding, and in duress one may buy flour from the market (relying on guarding from kneading).
