When a person makes two eruvim in opposite directions (each placed at the full 2,000-cubit boundary), what is his movement allowance on Shabbat?
Synopsis
If someone (by mistake or through two agents) places eruvim in opposite directions both at the end of 2,000 cubits, it is unknown which eruv took effect. All authorities agree he may not move from his home; each eruv invalidates the other's range.
