May an adam chashuv (important person) who never adjusts the lamp on weekdays read by candlelight on Shabbat?
Synopsis
The Mechaber permits an adam chashuv who never tilts the lamp even on weekdays to read by candlelight on Shabbat in all cases. The Taz and Mishnah Berurah limit this to one who clearly never adjusts lamps even during study, not just any prominent person.
