ShabbatAnimal Care

Synopsis

The Mechaber permits untying grain stalk bundles so the animal can eat. The Rema adds a minority view that only non-permanent knots may be untied. All agree that rubbing/shredding the stalks by hand to make them easier to eat is forbidden.
