May a gourd (kiruya) used as a water bucket, with a stone tied to it for weight, be carried on Shabbat?
Synopsis
A stone tied securely to a gourd used for drawing water is permitted because the stone is nullified to the gourd. If not tied securely, it remains muktze and the gourd becomes a basis (support) for muktze.
