May one remove a saddlecloth or saddle from an animal on Shabbat?
Synopsis
Removing a saddlecloth from either donkey or horse is prohibited since the animal does not suffer from keeping it on. A saddle may not be placed or removed on any animal. For a donkey returning from a journey that needs cooling, one may not remove the saddle by hand but may loosen the strap and walk the animal until it falls off.
