When traveling near an inn, should one pray on the road or in the inn, and what if the inn is idolatrous?

PrayerAmidah

Synopsis

The Rema rules that when possible one should remove oneself from the road to pray standing without travelers interrupting. One should not pray in an inn of idol-worshipers lest the residents disturb them. When removal from the road is impossible, any corner of the inn is acceptable. When the inn has no usable corner, praying on the road while walking is preferable.
