Is a third opinion — that wool and linen together (not separately) exempt all garments — halachically valid?

Synopsis

The Aruch HaShulchan records a minority view (attributed to Maharam R' Meir of Rothenburg and Hagahot Maimoniyot) that Rava's ruling means only wool and linen together exempt non-same-kind garments. The Rif rejected this view.
