Until when may one pray Shacharit (latest time)?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules the time extends until the end of 4 zmaniyot hours (a third of the day). If one erred or transgressed and prayed after 4 hours until chatzot (midday), one has fulfilled the obligation but without the reward of praying at the proper time. The Rema rules that after chatzot it is forbidden to pray Shacharit at all.
