Synopsis
Parshat Shekalim is read on the Shabbat before or on Rosh Chodesh Adar. The Torah portion is 'When you shall take' (Exodus 30:11-16) until 'copper washstand,' and the haftarah is 'And Yehoyada cut a treaty' (II Kings 12:10-17, Sephardi custom) or 'From the king of Israel' (Ashkenazi variant).
