Are priestly blessings (nesiat kapayim) recited during communal fasts?
Synopsis
All communal fasts include priestly blessings in the afternoon (Mincha) prayer, with the exception of Yom Kippur. However, in Ashkenazi communities, priestly blessings are customarily performed only during the Musaf (additional) service on holidays, not during regular fasts.
