When should the traveler's blessing be recited relative to other prayers and blessings?
Synopsis
The traveler's blessing should normally be recited after one has taken hold of the road. However, the Maharram of Rottenburg would recite it after the morning 'Yehi Ratzon' blessing to juxtapose it with the 'Blessing of Kindnesses' (Gomel) to make it a blessing adjacent to another blessing (which avoids opening with 'Baruch').
