Does sorting apply to two types of food mixed together, and how does one permissibly select between them?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that two types of food mixed together may be sorted by selecting the desired type to eat immediately. The Rema adds that even two types of fish count as two types, and sorting one from the other is forbidden unless by hand for immediate use. However, within one type, separating large from small is not borer.
