Is a bow (aniva) considered a knot for purposes of Shabbat, and may one tie a single knot beneath a bow?

ShabbatTying (Kosher)

Synopsis

All authorities agree a bow is not a knot and is permitted. The Rema reports the custom to permit a single knot beneath a bow. The Mordechai and acharonim qualify this: only when the knot is intended to be untied that day. For lasting knots (like a lulav), one should use two bows with no knot.
