What are the conditions under which a carpenter's peg (nagger) with a knob (glustera) may be used to lock on Shabbat?

ShabbatBuilding (Boneh)

Synopsis

The Mechaber rules that a carpenter's peg (nagger), which is inserted into the threshold below and most resembles building, requires tying. If it has a knob (glustera) at its head making it resemble a utensil, a thin rope attached even to the door bar—even lying on the ground—suffices. The Taz and Gra dispute whether tying is indispensable even with a glustera.
