When both a shoteh and katan are present (no cheresh, no donkey), to whom should the purse be given?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that between a shoteh and katan, the purse goes to the shoteh. Between a cheresh and katan, it may go to either. A katan will eventually attain full intelligence, making it preferable to give it to the shoteh.
