When Shabbos descends during travel, may one give one's purse to a non-Jew to carry?
Synopsis
One traveling with money when Shabbos begins may give the purse to an accompanying non-Jew to carry. The Mechaber permits this even without paying wages and even if given after nightfall, due to concern that otherwise the person will come to carry four cubits in the public domain.
