If hatmanah was done before Shabbat and the pot became uncovered on Shabbat, may one re-cover it or change the insulation?
Synopsis
If insulated before Shabbat with a non-heat-adding substance, one may re-cover on Shabbat if uncovered after dark, add to the insulation, or replace the insulation entirely (even with thicker material), provided the food is fully cooked. If uncovered before Shabbat, re-covering on Shabbat is forbidden.
