What blessing does one recite on fruits or herbs preserved/cooked in honey (e.g., quinces, roses)?
Synopsis
When fruits or herbs are preserved in honey, the fruit/herb is the primary element and the honey is secondary. Quinces and similar fruits get Ha'etz; herbs and roses get Ha'adamah. Even if heavily crushed, the fruit retains its blessing as long as its form is still recognizable.
