Does HaTov VeHaMeitiv require the second wine to be objectively superior to the first?
Synopsis
A central dispute among rishonim is whether HaTov VeHaMeitiv is recited only when the second wine is better than the first, or on any change of wine regardless of quality. The Shulchan Aruch follows the Tosafot position that it is recited by default unless the second is known to be inferior.
