If one was already sitting and another person stands to pray nearby, must the sitting person rise?

Synopsis

The Mechaber rules that if one was already sitting before the other began to pray, the sitting person need not rise because 'the newcomer entered the sitting person's boundary.' The Rema adds a chasidic stringency.
