When does a myrtle's leaf become too dry to be valid — when it is completely desiccated or when it begins to lose color?

Synopsis

A completely dried myrtle is invalid. However, a myrtle with slightly dried leaves is valid. The standard for dryness is when the leaves' faces turn white/pale, not merely when they can be broken by a fingernail.
