When Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat, are 'Avinu Malkeinu' and Selichot said?
Synopsis
When Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat, Avinu Malkeinu is not said because it is a petition (sheilat tzerachim), inappropriate on Shabbat. But Selichot and other forgiveness prayers are said because they are fitting for Yom Kippur regardless.
