Must the shofar blower stand while blowing?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules one must blow standing. The Magen Avraham holds that b'dieved if one blew sitting one has fulfilled the obligation, since shofar is derived from the omer and even for the omer one fulfills b'dieved. The Mishnah Berurah adds that the blessing must also be said standing.
