Is fasting permitted on Lag BaOmer and other semi-holidays?
Synopsis
Fasting on Lag BaOmer, Rosh Chodesh Sivan until Shavuot, and the three days of Hol HaMoed is permitted, since the custom to avoid fasting is only a custom (minhag), not law (din). However, fasting during Erev Chag, Tisha B'Av, and Tu B'Shevat is not permitted.
