Does the prayer leader standing in the bimah (raised platform with walls) count as being with the congregation?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that the prayer leader on the bimah and nine in the synagogue may join, even though the bimah is 10 high and 4 wide with walls, because the bimah is nullified relative to the synagogue. One opinion adds this only applies if the walls do not reach the ceiling.
