When may one write a loan contract (shtar chov) on Chol HaMoed?
Synopsis
Generally, loan contracts may not be written on Chol HaMoed unless the lender does not trust the borrower and the borrower needs the funds, or the scribe lacks sustenance; however, promissory notes and receipts are permitted.
