May one hire a non-Jew as a day-laborer (shomer shabbat-style) to work after Chol HaMoed, with the understanding that he will complete the work after the holiday?

HolidaysChol HaMoed

Synopsis

It is permitted to hire a non-Jew as a contractor or day-laborer to work after Chol HaMoed, provided one does not measure, weigh, or count as would be done during the week. If the non-Jew chooses to work during Chol HaMoed voluntarily, it is permitted since the Jew stipulated the work be done after the holiday.
