Why was Eyzehu M'komam (the Mishnah on sacrificial locations) established as part of the daily prayer liturgy?
Synopsis
The Rabbis instituted the recitation of Eyzehu M'komam and the baraita of Rabbi Ishmael after the section of the daily offering (Tamid) so that every person would fulfill the obligation to learn Bible, Mishnah, and Talmud every day. This chapter was specifically chosen because it covers all the sacrifices, contains no disputes, and is linked exegetically to the verse 'in every place incense is offered to My name.'
