Why do we eat marror separately before the korech if Hillel ate everything together?
Synopsis
Since the halacha is unresolved whether to follow Hillel (everything together) or the Sages (each separately), we do both. The sequence is carefully structured to prevent the d'rabbanan marror from cancelling the d'oraita matza.
