Is mustard itself permitted on Passover, or is it forbidden as kitniyot?
Synopsis
There is disagreement between traditions. The Mechaber permits mustard (Sephardi practice), while the Rema forbids it as kitniyot (Ashkenazi practice). The Aruch HaShulchan supports the Ashkenazi custom.
