Should the bittul formula use 'b'rashuti' (in my possession) rather than 'b'hadin beita' (in this house)?
Synopsis
The Tur and all authorities agree the formula should say 'in my possession' (b'rashuti / d'itei b'rashuti) rather than 'in this house,' to include chametz in other locations. The Taz explains the phrase 'in my possession' also prevents misinterpretation as only chametz for personal use.
