Must one sweep rooms before the search, and what is the proper method of searching holes and cracks?
Synopsis
The Mishnah Berurah rules that rooms must be swept before the search because a proper search cannot be done without sweeping. The custom is to sweep the entire house on the 13th of Nisan. During the search itself, the custom is to use feathers to sweep out holes and cracks and extract chametz.
