Is a korah valid when it does not reach from wall to wall or when two beams meet in the middle?

Synopsis

A korah that does not reach from wall to wall (e.g., rests on poles in the middle), or two korot that extend from opposite walls and meet in the middle, are valid if the gap between them or between the ends and the wall is less than three tefachim.
