If a word or verse was skipped in the Shabbat morning Torah reading, must the congregation go back and re-read it?
Synopsis
If even a single word is skipped in the Shabbat morning Torah reading, the reading must be corrected. This obligation persists even if the haftara and Mussaf have already been completed. The reader must re-read the skipped verse together with two adjacent verses, with blessings before and after.
