Must the leader (mevarech) drink from the Birkat HaMazon cup, and how large a sip is required?
Synopsis
The mevarech must taste from the cup after reciting Borei Pri HaGafen. The minimum amount required is melo lugmav (a cheekful, the majority of a revi'it). It is praiseworthy to drink in large gulps (gemi'ot gasot). If the mevarech does not want to drink, one of the assembled may drink instead.
