May the prayer leader fold up (dismantle) the Torah reading table covering while the congregation is still present in the synagogue?
Synopsis
After the Torah reading, the prayer leader may not fold up or dismantle the table covering while the congregation remains in the synagogue, as this burdens the congregation. He must first escort the Torah scroll out, allowing the congregation to follow, and only then return to fold the covering.
